The first Green Environmental Seal
in Latin America
In March 2024, Granja Porcina Los Pinos (800 sows) became the first farm in Latin America to receive the Green Environmental Seal, awarded by Biosa Denmark. Two years of the Animal Biosa Plus program in feeding and waste management, supported by the technical audits of Ranjell Bio Soluciones: solid waste reused, ammonia always below 10 ppm, and wastewater controlled and reused.

And the program keeps growing: in 2025, Eco-Granja Avícola Yema Tica (29,000 hens, Río Cuarto de Alajuela) earned the second Green Environmental Seal, the first in the poultry sector, with chicken manure turned into organic fertiliser and ammonia consistently below 10 ppm. And Granja Los Pinos renewed its certification for another year.
